Island Fresh is based in Dalston in East London and is the brainchild of Brian Robertson, and is the online trading name of Peco E.C. Foods Ltd. Island Fresh is an importer, a wholesaler, and has a bricks and mortar grocery store. Since its inception in 2012, Island Fresh has grown from strength to strength, providing fresh exotic fruits and vegetables to homes, cafes, restaurants and hotels across Greater London. It is the aim of Island Fresh to be the UK’s number one name in Caribbean food and drink.

Our extensive range of produce means you can enjoy the very best in exotic Caribbean fruit and vegetables – morning, noon, and night. Our customer base from our shop in Hackney continues to thrive and people from across London and the South-East would travel to buy our imported produce for their homes and foodservice businesses. What everyone always asked us was, ‘can we buy from you online?’. We’ve listened to our customers and our website islandfresh.co.uk was born in 2015, allowing people from all over London to benefit from our freshly imported Caribbean produce without leaving home.

We pay our farmers a fair price for healthy, fresh, natural produce. With this, they can use sustainable farming methods which protect the environment and wildlife. Our CEO, Brian, personally knows every farmer we source our produce from, and only very few wholesalers or shops can say that.

Island Fresh is renowned across London's foodservice industry for sourcing the top two per cent of organic, exotic fruits and vegetables in the world from small independent farms, in or near nationally protected areas of the Caribbean and South America. We also source local, organic, British produce more commonly consumed here in the UK.
